Here’s what patients and their families have to say…
On behalf of all of our Employee Owners, we would like to thank you for writing a review about your experience at our hospital. Reviews are valuable and important to help future patients and their families make difficult decisions when faced with what hospital they should send their loved ones too.
Thank you for your support,

I highly recommend A.S.H for long term acute care. Their entire staff worked with me and got me well enough to return to my home. Every employee works hard to meet the needs of the patients and to get them on the road to recovery. I am happy they helped me.
You're choosing the right place!
After surviving 2 open heart surgeries in 48 hours, 30 days in a coma, and spending 70 days in the hospital and Acuity, God blessed me with the wonderful and blessed assistance of the entire staff of Acuity Specialty. They all helped me get back to my life already in progress…Better than the old me! Thank you to the entire staff and I truly mean it!
Totally Confident in Acuity Specialty Hospital
My Mom recently got the flu which turned into pneumonia. She was sent to Wheeling Hospital from our hometown in OH for a few days for acute care and then suggested she recover at Acuity Specialty Hospital. She was scared and so were we. But when she got there, she was immediately cared for and I mean, cared for! The staff at Acuity in Bellaire, OH is not only caring but thorough and responsive. The building is old and actually a little scary looking. But the love and caring staff totally outweigh that and once you are inside, it’s all about the care they give their patients. There is 24/7 nursing, doctors on staff who make rounds each day, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy and much more! My Mom knows everyone now and they know her. She feels totally at ease as she recovers to be able to go home and resume her life. By the way, I have heard they will be moving right across the parking lot of Wheeling Hospital in a pretty mountain setting in 2020. I just want to say that I had total confidence in this facility and it’s staff to be able to leave and go back to my home in GA. I highly recommend Acuity Specialty Hospital in Bellaire, OH. They. Are. Awesome!
By far the best care available for heart transplant patients. Above and beyond care by the whole staff. Give it a 5 star rating. We would like to recognize Esther, Jamie, Flo and the whole P.T. Staff.
I was alone and afraid when I got to Acuity Weirton. The Dr & staff met me in my room and greeted me. One of the nurses told me that they would take good care of me because I could be their “mother, sister, aunt”. I immediately relaxed. I was in good hands, thank God. Autumn, Gee, Deb, Sudie, Judy, Carley, Nichole, Julie, Randy, Nick, Jeff, EVERY one who came into my room was dear! Sorry if I didn’t write your name but God knows who you are. RN’S Nursing Assistants, Supervisors, RT, PT, Doctors. I felt that you really cared for me. Thank you and God bless you all.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and excellent care. I have had many hospital and extended care stays and I can honestly say that your facility is the finest I’ve ever been in. You all put such love and devotion in your care. The nurses, nursing techs, physical therapy, Pam at wound care, Lisa my case manager and housekeeping are all wonderful people. I’m doing well because of all of you. I miss everyone, but I do love being back home.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Bless all of you and may you each have a Blessed and Happy New Year filled with love and happiness.
“This is a beautiful place to stay, the nurses, aides and everyone I met simply could not do enough for you. If you want to get well, you should come here. I had a private room and I was treated like a queen.”
